Furniture care tips

WOOD, A NATURAL AND LIVING MATERIAL

Unlike veneered surfaces, it may have irregularities.
All our wooden furniture, if properly maintained, will last you several years. Of great longevity, they are all unique which gives them their charm.

The presence of knots in the wood and cracks are a unique character trait of each piece of furniture. They do not alter the quality of the wood in any way; on the contrary, they contribute to giving the surface a lively character.

It is important to understand that wood “breathes”. It absorbs the humidity present in the ambient air or returns it to it. When the humidity level of wood increases it can deform and form small cracks, which is completely normal and will stop occurring over time.
In winter, we advise you to ensure humidification of your space in the event of significant heating (e.g. use a humidifier), in order to avoid cracks.

INTERVIEW
All our unvarnished furniture is treated with wood oil. We also recommend the use of an oil for regular surface refreshing.

USING AN OIL FOR WOOD
The surface to be treated must be dry, clean and free of dust. Apply the oil using a lint-free cloth using quick, even movements. Oil surfaces if possible without interruption.
After about 10 minutes, wipe off the remaining oil with a cloth until the surface is dry. Always work with the grain of the wood (along the length of the boards).

MAINTENANCE AND USE ADVICE
- Regular maintenance of the surface of unvarnished furniture using wood oil.
- Avoid prolonged stay of liquids on the surface of the wood (wine, coffee), in order to avoid the formation of persistent stains.
